We are a mixed animal practice in Cornwall, first established in 1976. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
Nicky qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 1994. She came to Cornwall after graduating, as it was somewhere she had loved holidaying since she was a small child. She has always worked in the area and joined the Nute practice in 2004. She enjoys walking, surfing and camping and also plays the guitar and accordion. Nicky has always enjoyed the variety of mixed practice life and uses acupuncture to complement her conventional medicine and surgery.
Harriet Frame BVM&S MRCVS
Harriet graduated from Edinburgh University in 2010 and spent a summer working for a veterinary charity in the Cook Islands before joining the practice in November 2010. Harriet enjoys all aspects of mixed practice work. Outside of the practice Harriet enjoys horse riding, gig rowing and spending time with her Icelandic horse Rispa.
Zoe Greatorex BVetMed MRCVS
Zoe joined us from Yorkshire in 2015. She has worked in a variety of jobs both in the UK and abroad. She has particular interest in complex medical cases, when she’s not solving these medicine conundrums she can be found scaling up or down a mountain or cliff face.
Nicole Hadley BSc (Hons) BVSc MRCVS
Nicole graduated from Bristol University in July 2017 with an award for best equine clinical rotation. Soon after she moved to Cornwall and joined the practice. She enjoys all aspects of mixed practice with a particular interest in equine. Nicole has a soft spot for Dobermans from owning two lively ones herself. Outside of work Nicole enjoys horse riding and exploring the Cornish countryside.
Andrew Moore BVSc MRCVS
Andrew graduated from Melbourne University in 2001 and then spent three and a half years working with all species in a mixed practice in New South Wales. It was here that he discovered surfing and he has been a complete surfing obsessive ever since! Since 2006 Andrew has locumed in a variety of practices across New Zealand, Australia and the UK. He joined the practice in February 2011 and treats all species but is most interested in cattle and small animal surgery. Andrew enjoys living and working in the great outdoors which is what attracted him to the profession and to Cornwall in particular.
Lizzy Whiting BVSc CertAVP MRCVS
Lizzy graduated with commendation from Liverpool University in 2001. During her final year at university, she met her husband, also a vet. Her first job was in a rural mixed practice in Staffordshire before having her children. She joined Nute Vets in January 2008 and works three days per week. She recently attained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice with modules in anaesthesia and pain relief, surgery and medicine, a culmination of 600 hours of study. She is also active in the Cornwall Veterinary Association and has an interest in mentoring and supporting new graduates in practice. She has recently started lecturing to student veterinary nurses at Duchy College. Outside of work Lizzy enjoys spending time with her family, camping trips and time on the beach.
